Soul Punch + SoFe: Solo Female Travel Safety

I got robbed in Cancun.

Not in a dramatic, movie-style way where someone yells and bolts. It was slower. Sneakier. And honestly? Kind of humiliating—because I knew something was off the whole time.

The Solo Travel Lesson:
👉 Your intuition is not optional.
👉 Ignoring it might be the most expensive part of your trip.

Here’s what happened 👇

I’d booked a hostel, but when I arrived, they had “no beds left.

Instead, they sent me to a “friend’s apartment”—a “free upgrade,” they said. No staff. Just me, a stranger’s home, and my backpack.

That night, the electricity went out. No internet. No power.

The next morning, a man claiming to be from the electric company showed up. He spoke rapid Spanish, asked me to check something inside.

My gut screamed, “Red flag!”

But it seemed dramatic to cause a scene. So I followed his instructions. He saw which unit I walked into, waited until I left, and robbed me blind.

It took me years to forgive myself. Why didn’t I walk away? Why did I make it so easy?

But the truth is: we’re not born knowing how to handle these moments. We’re not taught how to read danger, trust our instincts, or react with confidence.

So let’s change that—together.

💥 We're teaming up with Soul Punch

A badass women-led self-defense org that teaches you how to prevent and respond to real-life situations—like this one.

And together, we’re hosting a FREE live webinar:

🎯 How to feel confident, strong, and safe while traveling solo
🎯 The mindset, posture, and habits that help you prevent danger before it happens
🎯 What to actually do when your gut says “nope”

This is more than safety. This is about power.

We travel solo—but we’re never truly alone. That’s the magic of this community.

See you at the webinar 💛
