"My favorite SoFe trip yet." — What happened in Uzbekistan.
On the first night, before anyone had even unpacked, our group was invited to dance with locals after dinner. Not as tourists watching from the side, as guests, pulled into the middle of it.
It only got better from there. A woman-run kitchen in Khiva, where we learned to make green noodles and somehow ended up stirring giant cauldrons for a Navruz feast. A folk band. More dancing. A celebration that wasn't ours, until it was.
That's Uzbekistan. It doesn't keep you at arm's length. It brings you in.
We just got back, and we have 4 spots left in September. Here's what you'd be saying yes to…
The night we'll never forget
“Our night in Khiva, we learnt to make green noodles at a local woman-run restaurant, but more than that, we were invited in like family to the celebrations of Navruz. We stirred the giant cauldrons of Sumalak, ate a fabulous meal, and danced to a folk band.
Memory of a lifetime." — Sophie M.
What our travelers said about this trip…
"I have taken three trips with SoFe and this has been my favorite. Uzbekistan has lots of history, culture, amazing food, and some of the most welcoming and friendly people I've ever met." — Crystal B.
"I have never been in a country where I felt safer. Walking at night felt safer than being back home." — Sophie M.
"When I was looking at the historic buildings in Samarkand, I realized just how much more detailed and impressive they are in person." — Crystal B.
“After a great welcome dinner, we were invited to enter a separate area and dance with locals, and [this is when I knew I was glad I came on this trip].” — Tammy R.
4 spots left. September 14 - 23, 2026.
This is the part where we'd normally say "don't wait", but honestly, the reviews say it better than we can. If you've been sitting on this one, this is your sign.
