The Many Cups of Vietnamese Coffee

Small coffee shops, each with its own unique style, and simple vendor carts dot every sidewalk and every corner. Plastic child-sized stools and low tables spill out onto the sidewalks, with people wearing casual outfits to suits and ties, socializing over a cup. Hawaii to possibly push back the return of tourists

In Hawaii, the number of coronavirus cases seems to be increasing rapidly. Thus, officials are considering pushing back the program which would allow tourists to come back. Tourists were supposed to be welcomed back on september 1st. For now, no official decision has been made. US citizens are still allowed in, but must quarantine for at least 14 days in their hotel or vacation rental. Read it from the source.

Environmental tragedy in Mauritius

The tourism sector is in a dire state on the island of Mauritius. The borders have been closed since March while the island relies heavily on tourism for its revenue. Furthermore, a few weeks ago, a ship transporting oil ran aground close to the shores. It has started spilling oil in the ocean, resulting in an environmental catastrophe. Read it from the source.

In South Africa, 70 % of the tourism workforce are women, and since the sector is taking an unprecedented hit, mostly women are affected. The point of this campaign is to highlight the voices of women in tourism, and to call on all women to weigh in. Agbara Women : a new exhibition by Ishola Akpo honors African queens

The photographer from Benin decided to dedicate his latest work to the women of power on the African continent. His work highlights the lives of queens who have ruled over different African countries, and have often been forgotten, even in their own countries. Tanzania has reopened its borders

Tanzania is now welcoming international tourists after the borders were closed since March, at the highest peak of the pandemic. However, many in the industry are worried that the government has not been completely transparent about the state of the epidemic in the country, which might deter international visitors from coming back to the country.
